effects on skin turnover, tar can help to decrease skin thickness and scaliness. In addition, tar has been shown to have anti-inflammatory effects.

Effectiveness: Tar has been used for many centuries and has been used most effectively for psoraisis and seborrheic dermatitis (dandruff). Many studies have shown success with the use of tar products and many can be obtained over the counter (particularly in shampoos for scalp conditions).
