General advice: Visit the National Vitiligo Foundation's website: Find helpful information and stay up to date with the most recent advances in treatment. Protect yourself from the sun: While sunlight may help to stimulate new pigment, skin affected by vitiligo has no protection and is very susceptible to sunburns. See our sunscreens section to learn more. Conceal: Vitiligo can be a very difficult condition to treat and is often very distressing for patients. Fortunately, there are several excellent products that are available that allow for complete coverage of affected skin. These concealers are made in various colors to more easily match a range of skin tones and many come in waterproof preparations capable of withstanding all normal daily acitvities (see below). Key
