products are formulated with special ingredients and try to elimiate many of the preservatives and chemicals that commonly lead to irritation. General
advice/key ingredients to look for: Moisturizers: look for moisturizers that contain few additives. Good examples are those from Vanicream and Person Covey Shampoos: Shampoo can also cause irritation including breakouts on the forehead. Shampoos including the DHS line and Free & Clear are very gentle and help clean hair without adding many dyes and potential irritants. Sunscreens: Many sunscreens can be irritating to those with sensitive skin. The use of sunscreen products containg the physical, non-chemical blockers zinc oxide and titanium oxide can minimize irritation while still giving excellent ultraviolet protection. Wrinkles and photoaging: Many agents that are used to fight photoaging work through exfoliation and can extremely irritating for sensitive skin. Luckily, there are several products that can help fight the signs of aging while will being gentle on the skin. To accomplish this, look for products like Kinerase, and those containing hyaluronic acid, panthenol, and niacinamide. | |
